Bounce Back Celebrates Intern Success at DFN Project SEARCH Graduation

Bounce Back is thrilled to celebrate the achievements of two incredible young people from the wider cohort of 18 who completed their supported internship rotations with us as part of the DFN Project SEARCH programme at Lambeth Council.

Head of Training, Karen Baker, attended the heart-warming graduation event and shared her joy:

“I have just had the absolute pleasure of attending the graduation of this year’s Supported Interns at Lambeth Council. Bounce Back were delighted to provide a rotation for two wonderful Interns who have flourished with the support of Dawn Hooper-Hayes, Melanie Impey, and Jo Page. I did have a tear in my eye and my hands hurt from clapping, but it was joyous to meet parents and carers. Great job Lambeth and Unity Works.”

This celebration marks a significant milestone not only for the interns but also for the wider community of educators, employers, and support staff who work tirelessly to build inclusive employment opportunities.

Bounce Back offers their congratulations to Lambeth Council, King’s College Hospital, NHS London, and their delivery partners on another successful programme. It was a pleasure to work with delivery partner Unity Works, who provided day-to-day in-work support and excellent communication.

Bounce Back is proud to be a partner in the DFN Project SEARCH programme – a national initiative that delivers supported internships to young people aged 16–24 with learning disabilities and/or autism. Through real work experience and specialist support, the programme helps interns build confidence, develop employability skills, and transition into meaningful paid employment. At Lambeth, interns take on three different work rotations across the academic year, with support from a college tutor and a job coach.

“It was such a great experience not just graduating but having Melanie, Dawn & Karen being very proud of me and I can’t thank you enough for being in attendance at the graduation” – Jayden, Intern

Jayden has become a committed, diligent and effective administrator who has excelled in problem solving. He would be a real asset to any organisation and is now looking for full time work if any of our partners can help please contact us at info@bouncebackproject.com

Congratulations to all the interns who graduated – your hard work, dedication, and growth have been inspiring. We’re proud to have been part of your journey and can’t wait to see where your talents take you next!
