We are so excited that our garden has been selected for the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in July. We constantly seek creative ways to reduce re-offending with colourful solutions that help to change perception – this is another expression of our desire to do that.
Designed by Chelsea gold award winner designer Frederick Whyte, The Bounce Back Foundation Garden tells an inspiring story, cleverly narrating our mission to give ex-offenders a second chance by “Untying the knot” of uncertainty they face when starting over.
Storytelling in garden form has been inspired by historical knot gardens. Through the use of plant colour, form and texture, the design recounts how Bounce Back’s painting and decorating social enterprise works with ex-offenders to build confidence and create new, fulfilling lives, whilst also encouraging society to see them in a different light.
It reflects both the change that occurs as confidence grows in the participants in our programme, and also the vibrancy that comes as they gain confidence.
Our blog will now keep you updated on the progress with more being revealed each week….. Watch our garden grow!
