The Transform Project is our flagship employment and support pathway for individuals who have come into contact with the criminal justice system. Our team offers ongoing support and guidance both inside prison and within the community. We recognise that life inside and outside prison presents different challenges. However, by engaging with individuals up to six months before their release and identifying suitable pathways of support, we can help them transition from a position of exclusion to inclusion, enabling them to build a stable, fulfilling future for themselves.
The success of Transform relies on a multidisciplinary approach, with unique partnerships that facilitate a seamless transition for individuals as they move through the gate. Through our tailored support, employability workshops, and community engagement, we provide a safe space where participants feel heard. This allows them to build skills, grow their professional networks, and work towards securing meaningful employment.
We specialise in connecting employers within the construction industry to a diverse talent pool, offering early access to candidates. We invite employers to visit our training centres to witness firsthand the skills, creativity, and resilience of our participants before the hiring process begins. Our team then works with both the employer and participant to ensure a smooth onboarding process, providing ongoing guidance and support to influence key decisions. Importantly, our support doesn’t end once someone is employed. We stay with the participant for as long as they wish, helping them navigate their career journey and providing access to ongoing training and development through liaison with their employer.
If a participant is not interested in a career in the construction industry, our team works hard to connect them with opportunities in other sectors. The Transform Project has successfully helped individuals secure jobs in hospitality, retail, logistics, facilities management, and more through tailored one-to-one support.
The Transform Project is open to:
Individuals aged 18 or over who live in or are willing to work within London
Those with a criminal record within the last three years
